Do Mp3's have potential? Do jpegs have a destiny or maybe some kind of free will destiny hybrid? Do they come from the same place stories do? And when they slip past the edge of our periphery do they return there or are they just hanging out like digital debris clogging our memory arteries?
We have no ceremonies for these things, no rituals, no moments of silence for emptying the trash...
This memorial is in a small clearing, only 25gb big. Visitors come here to lay in the tall grass and weep for the photo's on their stolen phones, the RedBull soaked flash drives and the emails that are just... gone. They come, not to preserve their lost ones in buried tupperware, but to say goodbye. And leave lighter.
